A Message from Principal Mark A. McCann
Welcome to Lincoln Elementary School.
The North End is a distinctive community in Springfield with a rich cultural history and a strong sense of pride. Inside the door of Lincoln is a quotation from our nation's 16th president: "I do the very best I know how - the very best I can; and I mean to keep doing so until the end."
As the principal, these words of wisdom will be foundational as we build Lincoln and make it a school that our children deserve. In our school, we will work to foster a sense of pride, academic excellence and help produce great students and model citizens. We will reflect the same pride the community boasts. In order to do this, we need to listen, learn and lead with the community. We will develop a caring and nurturing staff that is dedicated to excellence, high achievement, and promoting the well-being of all students. Our goal is to provide a rigorous curriculum that will prepare our students for middle school, high school, college, and beyond.Specifically, we have 4 goals:
Goal #1: To increase student academic performance in reading, writing, math, and science so scholars are college and career ready.
Goal #2: To increase students social behavior so students are model citizens.
Goal # 3: To increase educators skills so we can meet the need, inspire and motivate our scholars.
Goal #4: To increase family and community involvement so we can rise together.
I look forward working together and making our vision a reality.
;Si, se puede. Yes, we can.
